A calm on-ramp into a deliberately unfair Roblox beta.

How to Play I Wanna Test The Game

I Wanna Test The Game looks like a normal Roblox obby for about ten seconds. Then a trap deletes you. This How to Play guide gives a skill order so you improve instead of rage-quit. It is written for the Project I Wanna Roblox beta—the demo slice of I Wanna Be The Bloxxer—not a finished commercial release.

What you are signing up for

  • Precision jumps and double jumps
  • Hidden or late-spawning traps
  • Save stations as your only checkpoints
  • Shops that upgrade a persistent gun
  • A Street-Fighter-flavored Sagat boss who demands parries

Read the Controls Hub in parallel. If you want difficulty rankings first, skim the stage tier list.

Step 0 — Bindings check

Confirm jump, crouch, Retry, and equip on your device: PC, Mobile, Console. Practice a double jump in the first safe space until it is boring.

Step 1 — Save religion

Every clear room ends with a station crouch. How to Save explains why Retry cannot invent checkpoints. Skipping stations is the fastest way to lose an hour.

Step 2 — Early stages without heroics

Follow Stages 1–3: lava jumps, lava checkers, disappearing stairs. Move slowly. Watch the floor. If something looks empty, assume a trap—confirm with All Traps.

Mid-article video

The embedded tutorial below walks level tips, gun levels, and boss basics. Pause after each chapter and replicate the movement in your own server.

Step 3 — Shop before pride

Between stages, spend XP on gun levels (Gun upgrades, Shop → Gun). Gun progress saves and cannot be reset. A stronger gun shortens Sagat even if your parries are imperfect.

Step 4 — Mid-game rooms

Stages 4–5 cover moving platforms and the Maze of Doom. Rehearse camera control—there is no Shift Lock. Save before the maze loop gets long.

Step 5 — Parry class

Open How to Parry. Learn single timed crouches. Forget crouch spam; patches nerfed it. You need this for Sagat fireballs.

Step 6 — Boss day

Only then open How to Beat Sagat. Bring gun level, fresh save, and patience. For a long-form companion, use the Full Walkthrough.

Optional tools and honesty corners

  • Track rooms with the stage checklist
  • Read Codes so you do not chase fake rewards
  • Scripts exist but risk bans and delete the intended challenge
  • Updates for hazard changes after patches
  • Links for Discord if a beta bug blocks progress

Mindset

Deaths are information. The Roblox beta is online multiplayer in the sense of shared servers, but your saves and gun level are what matter for personal progress. Play sessions of 20–40 focused minutes beat three-hour tilt marathons.

Finish this page, save at the first station, and start Stage 1 slower than you think you should.

Warm-up card (print mentally)

  • 10 double jumps
  • 5 pad saves
  • 10 standing crouch-taps
  • Buy any affordable gun level
  • Enter Stage 1 only after the above

Failure budget

Expect dozens of deaths. The skill is reducing identical deaths. Keep a tiny note of trap names from All Traps. When you tilt, stop at a save—not mid-spike.

Progression milestones

Milestone A: Stage 3 clear with gun shopping. Milestone B: Maze of Doom with a save afterward. Milestone C: Sagat phase recognition without panic crouch spam. Use tier lists if you want a difficulty forecast.
